Capoeira is a uniquely Afro-Brazilian art form that weaves together martial arts, acrobatics, music, and community. Born from the resistance of enslaved Africans in Brazil, it carries centuries of cultural memory in every movement.
At UCA Colorado, we practice capoeira as Mestre Acordeon — our founding mestre — intended: as a complete art that develops the whole person. Students learn to move, sing, play instruments, and connect across generations.
We offer programs for every stage of life — from toddlers taking their first steps to adults ready for a complete art form.

Open to all levels, ages 13+. Complete beginners welcome. Grow technically, musically, and culturally.

Our 2026 Batizado brought guest mestres from across the UCA network for a weekend of roda, music, and new cords. Dates for next year's Batizado will be announced here.
UCA Colorado completely changed how I understand movement, music, and community. My kids train here now too — it's become a family practice.
